The most recent release on Crossfade Sounds introduces Hisai, hailing from London, UK, to the label with his captivating three-track EP titled "Silica." In addition to the breaks and breakbeat-infused title track, this EP boasts the beautiful broken beats of "Indo" and the compelling storytelling found in "Meadows."

Hisai, the London-based electronic music DJ and producer, known as Adam Best, embarked on his music production journey following a successful career in digital product design. Shifting from fashion to music tech, he has always been passionate about the intersection of art, technology, and user experience from a young age.

His decision to delve deeper into DJing and music production coincided with the first wave of the recent global pandemic. Isolation sparked a desire to acquire new skills and a yearning to reconnect with loved ones who shared a common passion: music. This led to the formation of the now-established collective of DJs known as the 'Selectaz.'

His dedication was further fueled by witnessing the UK music industry face unprecedented challenges, marked by neglect and a lack of financial support from the UK Government. As a devoted fan and aspiring musician, Hisai initiated a personal blog titled 'Beats and Pixels.' This blog featured a monthly mix series and posts showcasing featured tracks and artwork. His aim was to contribute, in his own small way, to the promotion of artists from the UK and beyond during a time when support and inspiration were needed most.
